Minneapolis-based, American artist David Goldes' first monograph, Electricities, collects photographs of his 'performing still lifes,' investigations and experiments created for the camera. Electrical phenomena including electrostatics, high-voltage arcing, Faraday’s first transformer, water conductivity, electrified graphite drawings, and other inventions and experiments form the basis of the photographs.
Electricities features an introduction by former U.S. Poet Laureate, Kay Ryan, and an interview between Goldes and artist, curator and critic, David Campany.
