Yossi Milo is excited to invite the public for a conversation between John Gill and fellow artist Linda Sormin on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 6:30 PM.

On the occasion of Gill's exhibition WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE?, the pair will discuss the potential of clay, and the many ways in which ceramics intersect with process and possibility. With a focus on intuitive practices and the technical expertise that shapes their work, the two will explore the histories of their shared medium and give insights into the role ceramic art plays in a constantly evolving curatorial landscape.

The talk is open to the public and free to attend, but space is limited and RSVPs are encouraged.

Her first solo museum exhibition will open in November 2025 at the Gardiner Museum in Toronto. Sormin's work is held in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, MA; the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, DC; Gardiner Museum, Toronto, Canada; CLAY Museum of Ceramic Art, Middelfart, Denmark; Everson Museum of Art, Syracuse, NY; Victoria & Albert Museum, London, UK; Arizona State University Museum, Tempe, AZ; World Ceramic Exposition, Gyeonggi Province, Korea; and the Alfred Ceramic Art Museum, Alfred, NY, among others.
