Works, Kathrin Linkersdorff's first solo museum exhibition, is now on view at PHOXXI, the photography-focused exhibition space of Deichtorhallen Hamburg, Germany. Curated by Ingo Taubhorn, the exhibition presents an overview of the artist’s work across multiple series, all of which center around the aesthetic concept of wabi-sabi: the view that ephemerality and imperfection are integral and even beautiful parts of life. In addition to her well-known series Fairies, the exhibition debuts works from her new series Microverse I and Microverse II, which explore bacterial colonies living in and among her floral subjects.
