Chris McCaw and Sarah Anne Johnson at the New York Public Library

Chris McCaw's artist book Cirkut (2021) and Sarah Anne Johnson's photograph Arctic Wonderland (2011) are included in The Awe of the Arctic: A Visual History, a group exhbition on view at the New York Public Library from March 15 through July 13, 2024. The exhibition presents a survey of  historical and contemporary works that explore territory North of the Arctic Circle. Spanning the past 500 years, the works on view invite viewers to consider how histories of Arctic exploration inform their relationships with the region today.
