Group Exhibition: Outdated Paper? Photographic Papers from the Gevaert Archive
Alison Rossiter's "Gevaert Gevaluxe Velours, exact expiration date unknown, ca. 1930s, processed 2020 (#2)" (2020), which is held in the permanent collection at the Fotomuseum Antwerp (FOMU) is featured in the group exhibition Outdated Paper? Photographic Papers from the Gevaert Archive. The exhibition will be on view at FOMU from May 30 through August, 18, 2024.
 
Outdated Paper? Photographic Papers from the Gevaert Archive explores the legacy of Mortsel's leading brand, Gevaert, and how the photo paper company has indelibly shaped the history of photography through a fascinating array of photo paper types, packaging, and global promotional materials, each showcasing unique textures, glosses, colors, and thicknesses. 
 
Fotomuseum Antwerp, on the occasion of their acquisition of Alison Rossiter's work and her inclusion in Outdated Paper?, visited the artist in her studio and produced the following video:
