Alanna Fields's Edye in Bloom (Fan No. 1) is included in The Brooklyn Artist's Exhibition, a showcase of works at the Brooklyn Museum by more than 200 artists currently or recently based in Brooklyn, NY. The exhibition takes over the Museum's entire Great Hall, and kicks off the Museum's 200th anniversary celebration. Selected by an artist-led committee including Jeffrey Gibson, Vik Muniz, Mickalene Thomas, and Fred Tomaselli, the participating artists represent a full range of media and disciplines whose practices range from local to global concerns.
