Hassan Hajjaj's "Caravane" (2011/1432) is included in Imagining Black Diasporas: 21st-Century Art and Poetics, a survey of 60 artists working in Africa, Europe, and the Americas on view at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art through August 3, 2025.
Imagining Black Diasporas expands the traditional Pan-African canon from the Black Atlantic to the Pacific Rim, debuting new acquisitions for the Museum and further bridging diasporic geographies. The exhibition considers a quarter-century of art history, and the creativity that has sprung from diasporic movement.
