Shikeith announced in Arts Landing's Inaugural Exhibition

Public Arts Programming by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Opening April 2026
Shikeith is among ten artists announced in the inaugural program of public art at Arts Landing, a bold new initiative by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust that reimagines the role of art and culture in civic life. Arts Landing will open in April of 2026 in Pittsburgh's downtown 8th Street Block Civic Space, overlooking the Allegheny River.

The debut exhibition will feature newly commissioned projects by 9 artists with deep ties to Pittsburgh: Shikeith,  Lenka Clayton & Phillip Andrew Lewis, vanessa german, Darian Johnson in partnership with VaultArt Studio, Mikael Owunna and Marques Redd, John Pena in partnership with the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh’s Tough Art program, and Sharmistha Ray. Their works will be presented alongside an exhibition of 8 bronze sculptures by acclaimed sculptor Thaddeus Mosley, organized in collaboration with Public Art Fund.

Shikeith will present Hold, an iron, glass, and neon light sculpture that will extend the mission of his Mellon-funded initiative, Project Blue Space, which explores black histories tied to water and seeks to document former sites of the Underground Railroad in the Pittsburgh Region.
