Navot Miller at Kunsthalle Düsseldorf

A site-specific mural for the Kunsthalle's Work in Progress program
Navot Miller is one of five artists participating in Work in Progress, a program at Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, Germany, wherein a series of site-specific murals is painted directly onto the gallery walls by an international cohort of artists. Miller's mural work will be on view from April 10 through May 10, and will be celebrated upon its completion on Friday, April 17, 2026, with a reception from 6-10 PM.

From the Kunsthalle: "Miller is interested in the representation of closeness, friendship and desire, as well as the visibility of queer realities in both private and public spaces. Using clear forms and vibrant colours, he develops a visual language that addresses emotional relationships as well as experiences of migration and cultural identity."

Titled "A Gift to Pedro," Miller's mural draws memories and images from a hiking voyage in Argentina. Having become close with the mural's titular subject, Pedro, on this mountainous journey, Miller chose to make this work into a monumental tribute to the memories and community they created together. The design of the mural makes references to Memphis Group designs of the 1980's through a vibrant palette and color-blocked forms.
