Ambrotypes by Ben Cauchi were displayed in Strangers, at the Dunedin Public Art Gallery on view from May 11 – August 19, 2018, at the Dunedin Public Art Gallery in Dunedin, New Zealand. Curated by James Hope, the exhibition of photographs explored the realm of the ‘uncanny’ and unfamiliar through figurate subjects that create a sense of unease. Unique photographs by Ben Cauchi and Alison Rossiter were on view in Runes: Photography and Decipherment from February 2 – March 11, 2018. Curated by Justine Varga and Geoffrey Batchen, the exhibition included historical and contemporary photography ranging from vernacular to abstract.
