Yossi Milo is pleased to continue our partnership with German artist Markus Brunetti in offering a special fundraising print in support of God’s Love We Deliver and communities that have been marginalized by poverty and discouraged by unequal access to healthy food. This FACADES print has been released in an edition of 15, with a portion of the proceeds from sales donated to God’s Love.

Brunetti’s special edition print, Guimarães, Nossa Senhora da Consolação, was made over the course of 11 years and depicts the Church of Our Lady of Consolation and the Holy Steps, in Portugal, with its historic azulejos tilework and its curved Baroque façade.

Founded in 1985, God’s Love We Deliver is a non-sectarian organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of thousands of New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition. Since March of 2020, God’s Love has increased their client base by thousands, with now more than 10,000 medically tailored meals cooked and home-delivered every weekday. Through their daily nutritional interventions better healthcare outcomes are ensured for their clients, the majority of whom live below the federal poverty line and 75% of whom are people of color. For more information, please visit God's Love We Deliver online.

Brunetti’s FACADES are represented in the permanent collections of the Chazen Museum of Art, University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI; David Winton Bell Gallery, Brown University, Providence, RI; Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH; Musée des Beaux-Arts, Le Locle, Switzerland; and the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa, Canada, among others.

  • Myoung Ho Lee

    Myoung Ho Lee

In his work, Myoung Ho Lee (b. 1975; Daejon, South Korea) photographs solitary trees against a constructed white canvas backdrop, isolating the tree from its surroundings, making ambiguous its scale, and drawing attention to intricate detail that might otherwise go unnoticed. After selecting a tree for its unique formal qualities and distance from other landmarks, Myoung Ho Lee constructs a temporary photography studio on site with the help of a large production crew and heavy cranes. In doing so, the artist's 'portraits' reference both traditional painting practices as well as the history and techniques of photography.

  • Alexa Guariglia

    Alexa Guariglia

Combining the immediacy of drawing with the textual and tonal diversity of painting, Alexa Guariglia’s (b. 1990; New York, NY) pictures collate fragmentary memories and moments into immersive wholes. As if by autonomous outpouring, patterns, coded objects, and actions create psychological stages for figures to perform various solitudes in full view. With the physical, emotional, and mental components of art-making as subject and conceptual engine, Guariglia embraces uncertainty and inconsistency as part of her process, freely moving between styles and modes.

  • Meghann Riepenhoff

    Meghann Riepenhoff

With her cameraless photographs, Meghann Riepenhoff (b. 1979; Atlanta, GA) depicts the ebb and flow of time, examining humans’ relationship with the environment and our impermanent place within it. The artist creates cyanotypes, a process that entails exposing chemically treated paper to ultraviolet light. Riepenhoff places the paper on the shorelines of rivers and oceans, letting wind, water, and sediment imprint on the paper’s surface. Other times, the artist exposes the paper to rain or snow, revealing crystals, droplets, and kaleidoscopic patterns created by the elements.

    Sarah Anne Johnson

Sarah Anne Johnson (b. 1976; Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) creates images that aim to capture not just a moment in time, but the experience and emotion of a place. In her series Woodland, Johnson takes photos of the Manitoba woods near her home, then alters them digitally and manually, using Photoshop, paint, and foil to add bright spots of color and shine between tree branches and tangles of foliage. The resulting kaleidoscopic images are dreamy, psychedelic, and whimsical. Johnson's work rejects the notion that photographs capture reality, suggesting instead, with a child-like innocence, that there is a world beyond what can be seen through a lens.

  • Kathrin Linkersdorff

    Kathrin Linkersdorff

Kathrin Linkersdorff (b. 1966; Berlin, Germany) began her career as an architect working in Japan. There she became acquainted with the aesthetic concept of wabi-sabi: the view that ephemerality and imperfection are integral and even beautiful parts of life. Her photographs of flowers and other living beings embody this worldview, presenting still images of organic life as it transitions from life to some transient state beyond. While plants or bacteria do form the point of reference in Linkersdorff's works, her practice is not merely concerned with depicting them. Rather, the organic is a vehicle for the philosophy that emerges behind their presentation: a staging of symbols of transience in processual metaphor. Each image is a carefully selected snapshot that captures a particular moment in the organic process of decay that Linkersdorff artistically orchestrates.

  • John Gill

    John Gill

Over his decades-long career, celebrated ceramicist John Gill (b. 1949; Renton, WA) has made endless innovations in his medium to deliver joyous variations on the vessel form. With technical mastery, the artist embraces chance in his practice, allowing a well-honed intuition to guide his process. To build his creations, the artist joins slabs of clay to create towering vessels with swatches of bright colors that alternate like patchwork. Gill focuses his works on three main forms: vases, house pots, and jug-shaped ewers.

    Ezra Stoller

Many years after his passing, Ezra Stoller (1915-2004; American) remains one of the most celebrated architectural photographers of the twentieth century. The artist’s concise and descriptive photographs defined perceptions of post-War Modern architecture, providing viewers with visual footholds to explore these new structures. During his career as an architectural photographer from the late 1930s to the 1970s, Stoller worked closely with Frank Lloyd Wright, in addition to many other leading architects of the period, such as Paul Rudolph, Eero Saarinen, I.M. Pei, Marcel Breuer, and Gordon Bunshaft of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.

  • Ibrahim Said

    Ibrahim Said

Ibrahim Said (b. 1976; Cairo, Egypt) creates ceramic vessels that take on gravity-defying shapes, with top-heavy bodies supported by sinuous legs and tentacles coiled into mobius strips. Cascading down their sides are intricate geometric patterns that mimic the interlacing designs of Islamic art and architecture. Each piece is made complete with a fine glaze, often in a burnished black that recalls the black-topped pottery of the ancient Egyptian Naqada period (4000 – 3000 BCE). Such historic references are hardly a coincidence: at the core of the Egyptian-American artist’s practice is a deep love and knowledge of his home country’s ceramic traditions. With his rigorous practice, Said celebrates his heritage while advancing quintessentially Egyptian motifs and forms towards new horizons.
